Edmonton fire crews responded to a home, a commercial building, and a parking payment machine on fire over the weekend.

Just before 5 p.m. on Sunday, Edmonton Fire Rescue Services (EFRS) received a report of a residential structure fire near 69 Street and 108 Avenue before arriving at the scene three minutes later, spokeswoman Sarah Jackson said.

Four units responded and had the fire under control at 5:25 p.m. before declaring it out at 6:48 p.m., Jackson added, noting Emergency Medical Services assessed one firefighter at the scene who was not transported to hospital.

Earlier Sunday afternoon, EFRS received report of a commercial structure fire near 56 Avenue and 89 Street at 12:16 p.m., Jackson said. The building was evacuated and crews had the fire under control at 1:19 p.m. before declaring it out at 1:37 p.m. There were no injuries reported at the scene, she added.

At 11:45 p.m. Saturday night, EFRS also received a report of outdoor fires near Century Park LRT station, Jackson said, including two small grass fires and a parking machine on fire. Firefighters had them all out just before midnight, she added.
